Portrait Overlay
For the exposure, I chose to use one in class picture and one out of class picture. The top photo is a portrait of my little cousin and it is overlaid with a quote from Dr. Seuss and they relate because she is a young little kid who loves to read his books and watch some of the movies that were inspired by them. The second is a portrait of Courtney reading a book with a picture of the pages of the book she is reading. In the top photo I burned out the background to make it white and then put the quote layer on the top and screened the two layers so it would only appear over her face. On the second photo I erased the background and then put the book pages in a layer over the top and lowered the opacity so the portrait was visible underneath. Both of my double exposures reflect the theme of losing yourself in a book because they show how the person in the photo reads and is captured doing it.
