"Sunbathers on a Rocky Shore"
The point of view for this photo is an aerial point of view, high above the rocks. The photo is asymmetrical because the shapes and colors on both sides of the photo are different. Yes it follows the Rule of Thirds but there is no clear focal point. The picture is taken horizontally and its effective in this direction because you can see the different colors go across the photo. There isn't much sense of depth because it was taken from an aerial point of view. Your eyes are led across the photo by the line of green colored moss in the middle of the photo. It goes from the bottom to the top of the picture with two different colors on each side of it. The photo is creative and original and it is not something that is expected to be exciting when it is photographed. It is very beautiful because it is natural. The point of view is common among his works but it is cool because the subject matter is not what was expected. This picture gives you a serene feel because it is nature it was created by being able to see the motion of the waves which is relaxing. The most successful thing about the photo is how the color makes the plain rocks look interesting.
