Depth of Field
I was able to change what was in the photographs by setting the camera to manual focus. I think the best photo is the first one because the focus is all on the first jar and it all fills the frame. I would want to use a shallow depth of field to make something stand out and a large depth of field when I want the whole photo stand out equally. The first and the last photos were taken with an f-stop of 4 and the middle picture was taken with an f-stop of 22.
Leading Lines
Foreground Middleground Background
The subject matter in this photo is my dock in my backyard on the Assonet River. The foreground is the rope and first few poles, the middleground is the river and floating part of the dock and the background is the tree line on the other side of the river. This photo shows a lot of space and the walkway leads your eyes across the river. It has a large depth of field because it is all in focus.
